The Lenta retail chain is testing a solution to automate cleaning processes. The pilot is held in a store in Rostov-on-Don.
The authors of the project have developed a special program with a route and checkpoints in the trading floor. The robot is equipped with security sensors that communicate with the server, the program is automatically corrected. At the moment, commissioning is underway, after which it is planned to test the autonomous cleaning of the entire shopping complex.
The robot has already completed the task of cleaning the floor from oil, sugar and glass. It is slated to operate around the clock, seven days a week, with small charge cycles. Customers have already shown interest in the robot that moves freely around the store.
The project of manufacturers from Rostov-on-Don became one of the winners of the Safe Shop competition for innovative solutions, organized by the Lenta Innovation Center. The pilot is expected to last until February.
