An office building caught fire in St. Petersburg due to mining equipment

On January 12, at five o’clock in the evening, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of St. Petersburg received a message about a fire in an office building on Akademika Pavlov Street. According to eyewitnesses, equipment for mining cryptocurrency could have caused the fire.

An hour later, firefighters extinguished open fire on the first floor of the building.

As a result of the emergency, the premises were burnt on an area of 30 sq.m. There are no dead or injured.

We will remind, in November in one of the residential buildings of St. Petersburg, there was also a fire caused by a mining farm. The equipment owner was hospitalized with burns to his arms, back and neck.

Then the rescuers found that the mining farm was working without a cooling system.
